Alexandre Verdier redesign of the much loved Volkswagen Westfalia bus

This is an awesome take on VW's cult camper that gives it some serious eco cred.

Updated features will include a kitchenette that swings completely out of the van and a storage drawer in the back for a set of folding chairs and LED lighting.

The new design sees the van's top panel rise straight up instead of tilting. The integrated Sun Tracker solar panel hooked up to a GPS and an onboard computer will position the solar array for optimum charging.

Verdier's VW camper van will be equipped with a 4-speed automatic turbocharged bio-diesel hybrid drivetrain.
