Shelby 1000 (2012)

For Shelby's 50th anniversary they created a monster pony car that packs a 1,000 horsepower punch.

The Shelby 1000 builds off of the already potent Ford Mustang GT500 and tunes it to behemoth levels of power. Shelby fits Mustang's 5.4-liter V8 engine with new rods, crank, pistons and supercharger, along with upgraded cooling and exhausts. All of this performance tuning results in massive a performance upgrade. Carroll Shelby himself is responsible for the Shelby 1000. Shelby reports that he’s been more involved with the development of this race-ready 200-mph Mustang than with other recent creations by his company.
