In 1966 Shelby American debuted the 427 S/C, their most powerful high-performance roadster, for street and competition (S/C). British styling from the AC Ace body paired with the American muscle of a Ford 427 V8 with 450 hp. In 1997 Shelby resumed production of the Cobra 427 S/C (CSX4000-series). Today they’re available in either aluminum or fiberglass.
