Manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1954 to 1963, only 1,400 300SL Gullwing Coupes were built.

Starting in 2010, through to the 2014 "final" model, Mercedes-Benz produced the SLS AMG - what it describes as the spiritual successor to the 300SL Gullwing.

The Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing is considered one of the most collectible Mercedes models, with prices generally in the US$700,000-1,000,000 range.

The 2014 SLS AMG GT Final Edition starts at over $220,000.
