The turbulent relations between the races in Los Angeles throughout the 20th century had a huge impact on the life of football star O.J. Simpson. After his NFL career, Simpson became an actor, but it was his trial for the murders of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, that revealed his complex standing in the black and white communities.
After following this case very closely myself, I am not surprised this case won an Oscar for best Feature Documentary. This case not only follows along with the ups and downs of how OJ had to deal with everything that was being thrown at him, but also the impact this case had on the movement for those of color in America.
A great Documentary put together with an amazing storyline, tons of history and real raw emotion, definitely the most deserving of this Oscar.
