Surfer girl Bethany Hamilton

One-armed surfer is a true inspiration

At age 13 a 15-foot Tiger shark mauled her while she was surfing in Hawaii. Bethany Hamilton was left an amputee when doctors had to remove her left arm.

Bethany refused to quit and continued to pursue her dream of becoming a surfing champion. To me she became a superhero of a champion the moment she decided to not give up.
