I've really been craving some pumpkin cake since the arrival of fall! When I came across this recipe for Pumpkin Cake with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting on Bon Appetit, it took my craving up ten notches! Just picture decadent pumpkin cake with a drizzle of maple syrup over the frosting.. a delight for the whole family!

The following ingredients were used:
Cake
- Nonstick vegetable oil spray
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ? teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup (packed) light brown sugar
- 1 cup canned pure pumpkin
- ½ cup virgin coconut oil, warmed, slightly cooled
Frosting
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ? cup confectioners sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- Kosher salt
