While browsing for quick and easy-to-make recipes on Delish, I came across the Hot Dog Cubans recipe. It looks so tasty so I decided to give it a shot, and they turned out fantastic!
This recipe doesn't require a panini maker, as you can use two skillets - one to toast the sandwich and the other to weight it down. The bread gets super crispy when pressed without getting too sharp like toast. All in all, a fantastic recipe for weekday meals!

The following ingredients were used:

- 6 slices black forest ham
- 2 loaves Cuban bread or hero rolls, split lengthwise
- 1/4 c. yellow mustard
- 4 slices Swiss, halved

I really enjoyed both making and eating the Hot Dog Cubans. They're really great for a quick weekday or evening meal. I think I will modify the recipe a bit depending on what I'm craving, but this will for sure stay a fave recipe for seasons to come.
