Alfa Romeo's return to the United States (Again), This time with a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive, two-seat sports car. Alfa's claimed curb weight of less than 2200 Lbs should give it a thrilling thrust-to-weight ratio. Alfa will make as many as 2500 4C's a year. 500 Launch Editions will lead the charge in the U.S! The Alfa Romeo 4C has a new 1.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an aluminum block and head generates 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 4C has some fierce competition from the Audi TTS , Chevorlet Corvette, Lotus Evora, and the Porsche Cayman. Some things may be a problem for people who want one due to carbon fiber costs not rapidly dropping like Alfa had hoped, so they cant price the 4C any lower than $60,000. The estimated arrival of the 4C is this May at Maserati's Modena, Italy, plant. The first Alfa 4C's will be sent to the U.S market with an estimated $86,000 price tag.
